Interview: Two dancers – and their insights
Who says an eye makeup remover can’t dance?
See for yourself how Tone Reumert and One Bailey are dancing around with our The Eye Makeup Remover.
We met them on the dance floor and asked about their favorite music mix, what they carry in their gym bags, and why dancing is always a good idea.
Tone Reumert
Besides dancing, dancing, dancing, what else do you spend your time on?
“I travel, eat, laugh, talk, listen, create, love, cry, read, learn, observe, run, play, jump, swim, hug, kiss.”
Where do you hang out? And with whom?
“Copenhagen, mostly. With everyone I love. I also love escaping the city for peace, to take in wide-open views, breathe fresh air, take long walks in nature, and swim in the sea.”
What’s the most played song on your Spotify?
“It really depends, but right now, the most played songs on my Spotify are ‘Yeanoh’ by Kondi Band, ‘You’re Makin’ Me High’ by Toni Braxton, ‘Outstanding’ by The Gap Band, and ‘Topdown’ by Channel Tres.”
What do you always have in your gym bag?
“A million balls and resistance bands, a water bottle, face mist, deodorant, and a snack.”
What type of beauty product can you not live without?
“Oh, a really good face cream.”
What did you think about the eye makeup you wore for our campaign? How did it make you feel?
“It was gorgeous! I never wear makeup daily, but it's always extra special to have it done by a professional who knows their stuff. I felt super cool, brave, beautiful, and strong.”
How was it to take it off again with The Eye Makeup Remover?
“Smooth! It’s always such a relief to remove makeup after wearing it for hours. It was a bold eye look, but nothing the product couldn’t handle.”
And finally, why do you love dancing?
“First and foremost, I just can’t help it. It’s always been that way since I was little. It’s a way for me to express myself and process emotions. It makes me happy, makes me feel free, keeps me in shape, connects me to myself and my core, and makes me better at listening to my impulses.”
One Bailey
Besides dancing, dancing, dancing, what else do you spend your time on?
“I do a lot of other creative projects on the side of any show I’m performing in, where I do photography and design, but I am a HUGE foodie and love trying out new restaurants and cafés in Copenhagen. I love a coffee date with friends, but a great restaurant out with my partner is always 10/10 in my books.”
Which music video is the most iconic?
“I would say that any music video directed by Dave Meyers is worth a watch. But I have to say that Michael Jackson started it all, in terms of defining what a music video could be.”
What’s the most played song on your Spotify?
“Recently, I have listened a lot to Central Cees ‘Straight Back to It’. When I need motivation to get going and get to work, it gets me there.”
What do you always have in your gym bag?
“A few things I can’t be without are a water bottle, a towel (because I sweat A LOT), my Ear-Buds, and a great pair of shoes. A good pair of training shoes is super underrated.”
What type of beauty product can you not live without?
“A good cleanser, a toner, and a good moisturizer. I keep a very simple routine, but I’m actually curious about other things I can try to make my skin even healthier and happier.”
What did you think about the eye make-up you had done? How did it make you feel?
“The make-up was really cool, and actually a lot more subtle than I had expected. Since it was a design that I have not tried before, it felt almost like putting on a character, about to explore another personality.”
How was it to take it off again with The Eye Makeup Remover?
“It was refreshing. Both the physical experience of removing the makeup as well as the feeling of coming back to oneself as you are naturally.”
And finally, why do you love dancing?
“I think that dancing as a physical experience feels like freedom. Time and the space around me change and almost disappear, whether it’s on stage or at the club or a party. I love to lose myself in movement, because my mind becomes completely clear.”
