How to use
Sun Body Oil SPF 30
Be generous when using your sunscreen. Use plenty for optimal protection – a handful of Sun Body Oil for the entire body 30 minutes before you go out in the sun.
We recommend dividing the amount into two applications. This way, you avoid missing a spot and ensure you apply a sufficient amount of sunscreen – remember the particularly exposed areas such as shoulders and neck. And your hands – many forget them.
Protect your face with Sun Face Cream, Sun Face Serum, and/or Sun Face Oil and exposed areas with Sun Stick or Sun Balm. Always remember to protect yourself more often rather than less, especially after being in the water, if you sweat, and/or dry yourself with a towel.
Sun Body Oil Q&A
Yes, but we recommend that you apply new sun oil after swimming, if you sweat or if you dry yourself with a towel.
Sun protection may stain clothes and other items. Especially oil that may already have a tendency to stain if it is not given time to absorb. Let the sun oil dry completely before you get dressed. The sun filter that protects against the sun’s UVA and UVB rays may in some instances cause discoloration. This can be avoided if you wait for a while after application of the product before getting dressed. Consider your choice of clothes and towels – maybe leave your most delicate clothes, your silky white dress and white towels at home. You may also minimize the risk of staining if you wash your hands after application. If you should be unlucky, we recommend the following:
- Apply plenty of detergent to colored textiles directly onto the stain and let it work overnight – perhaps in a closed plastic bag. This makes the textile fibers expand to allow any discoloration to loosen.
- Wash your clothes according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Repeat the process 2-3 times, if required.
Whether you choose SPF 15, 30 or 50 depends on many things. According to official recommendations published by the Danish Health Authority, SPF 15 is enough in Denmark, but this very much depends on your skin type. If you have fair skin and you are intending to stay out in the sun for an extended period, we recommend you always protect yourself with SPF 30 or 50. We also recommend that you use a minimum of SPF 30 if you are travelling to areas in which the sun is stronger than in Denmark. Checking the UV index and finding out how strong the sun is in the areas where you may be traveling is always a good idea – and so is keeping updated on the intensity of the sun in Denmark.
